Knowledge is power, and knowing this tactic could prove to be helpful, its a simple tactic that requires a group of two, such as a sniper and his spotter. This tactic works best in woodland areas, but can work in urban areas as well. This tactic is a flanking tactic that requires stealth and communication.

Yellow: Spotter
Dark Blue: Sniper
Red, Green, Light Blue: Enemy

Step 1:
When you and your partner see a group in the distance, and can safely move without being seen, spotter moves to a "bunker" that faces the enemy head on.

Step 2:
Spotter lays down some fire, eliminating as many of the players as possible. The snipers job is to remain as hidden as possible and the spotters job is distract the enemy.

Step 3:
This is the tricky and risky step, the best bet for success is the spotter can blind fire while the sniper picks one of them off. This will more than likely make them put their heads down. Then while the spotter lays down cover fire, the sniper can pick off the enemy one by one making sure only to shoot when the spotter is shooting.

The reason why the sniper only wants to shoot while the spotter shoots is because not only will the people who are still in think that the BB's are coming from the spotter, but they also cannot hear the snipers gun as he shoots due the load amounts of noise. As this tactic is very simple the sniper has to be able to acquire targets very quickly so the enemy force will not pick up on this.

Please feel free to add to it in which ever way helps, and if you have any suggestions on how to make this better, I'll modify it and change the pictures too =)

Thats pretty much what me and one of my teammates did. He drew fire, while I was at a different angle, at a position to take some easy shots at the enemy. Unfortunately, like I said in the other thread, sometimes it won't work, especially when the other team decides to just run away :(

But nice write up, pictures help. Definitely a great tactic to use in a game. Sometimes it helps to have two or three hold the enemy off, while the sniper heads to another angle. Prevents the enemy from overpowering and flanking the one guy who is holding them off.

Nice job!

Yeah, but sometimes the sniper will not have a perfect shot. The enemy might be behind some cover even if they don't know the sniper is there. The sniper might have to wait until he gets a better shot. However, I see what you are saying, and if all goes well it should be fairly quick.

Hopefully, the guy who is suppressing fire (spotter) does not get hit, otherwise the enemy will move on or if you are compromised, have to get out of their quick before you are taking out.. Thats another important piece. The sniper needs to use the loud noise (like you said) to his advantage. That way he is not seen and can easily stay low if the enemy was able to take out your spotter.

Sniper should be in a position where he is not seen. However, after a few shots, he is bound to be compromised. I plan ahead and always have an easy escape route in case things get too hot.

Yes, fuzzy has this tactic down to a science, also if they rush the sniper hopefully that means they lose their cover, meaning easy pickings for the spotter. Sadly I didn't get to try this today, but next weekend I should be able to. I'll try to work on it in my free time during work.
