Not going to lie I really dig that look. Super digging it. I'm considering making one of those hoods that they make. Honestly I think the hood really completes the look altogether, gives it a very fluid blend.

How exactly do you stitch everything together I am curious? Do you use a sewing machine or are you stitching by hand? Specifically in regards to stitching the lace to the item.

Nice suit, I am designing one very similar atm, based on one of there other suits http://www.tacticalconcealment.com/pd-hdam-viper--ghillie-suit-foundation.cfm

I have a fairly big suit as it is, I need something that is more compact and this seemed to be the answer.

Taking the inner out of the para-cord... never thought of that, I have always sowed on para-cord using a set of pliers. You live and learn.

Is it just me or does www.tacticalconcealment.com have huge prices? I mean $25 for a yard of canvas!?! I could get that from any hobby store in town for 10 bucks. It just seems to me that making a suit like this would be more fulfilling, detailed, and cheaper than buying it?

Definitely much cheaper. They also charge for labor remember.

Very nice man.

Would love to have one not only for the airsoft side of things, but also for my hunting and what not. Would be willing to pay for a shoulder kit if you would be willing ;) Just the base and then I can add the material for the "bulk".

But again very nice set up so far.

Two quick questions, how big is one suare of the netting? And do you think this would work on a standard BDU if you just sew the netting on the back?

Not trying to be a smart ass, but if you don't have the patience to build a ghillie, how do you expect to have the patience to snipe? A hand made ghillie will almost always perform better, because it is made to the specific environment you are playing in.

True, but I find sniping to be entertaining while constructing a ghillie suit seems like it would be a PITA, although a couple of my friends have built one and maybe I could pay them to build me one, since we live in the same area.

Camera guy got a shot of me walking out of the woods at the end of a rotation at Operation: Final Resolution a few weeks ago.

Hood is down and you can see the mesh balaclava I made. I keep adding to this thing, just sewed some loops on the pants from webbing to attach my Russian suspenders, keeps things in place better when crawling.

Side note: What do you guys do to clean your ghillies. We have only been playing since March 1 but I already have 12 weekends in this thing and it is starting to reek! I am thinking of hosing it down then hanging it on a line to dry, any other suggestions?
