Hi everyone,

This doesn't pertain explicitly to long range AEGs but browsing all kinds of airsoft parts vendors I have only come across a single model of adapter that I am looking for:

It bolts to the rear of an AR pattern AEG/GBB and allows you to use a G&P GBB (real steel threaded) buffer tube with folding capability. However, it kind of ruins the lines of the gun in the process due to its hinge and the associated GBB pieces inside. Has anyone seen an AR AEG->AR GBB adapter device, preferably with as small an external profile as possible?

I am currently using the G&P Stock Pipe for Magpul PTS and that thing is not as sturdy as I'd like it to be. The folding adapter will do the job, but I would prefer something a lot smaller externally and I don't care about it folding. Thanks

I have that exact same adaptor, well, I had it for some time, and to be honest I think it's the lowest profile/cool looking device I could find for an AEG.

Just to clarify, I only removed it from the AEG because the Katana buffer tube I was using weighted a f**** ton, If I decide to get a GBB tube one of these days, I will most probably fit it again.

If you don't want to loose your aesthetics and be able to transport the gun, why not just separate upper and lower? I do it all the time while putting both parts in separate bags

I don't need the folding capabilities, transportation is not a problem. This is mostly because I am not confident in the strength of the stock attachment method I have right now. The G&P Magpul tube replaces the PRS' buffer tube, but it is thinner aluminum than I would have liked to see and it is also inconvenient to swap out batteries stored in it. I am in search of a stronger stock attachment method, preferably using the original RS threaded buffer tube from Magpul that came with the PRS.

Thanks for the response though, and I'm glad it worked for your usage case. Seeing as it's the only adapter I could find on the market I imagine it must have felt like a godsend to you lol. I am 80% there...I am loving the fact that something like this exists, but as I don't need it to fold the stock I am looking for something hinge-less and not adding 1.5" to the length of pull.
