AEG problems.

I know this wouldn`t be a place to talk about this stuff but its a mp5.
Ok I have a mp5. I plugged in the battery with the fuse. It woudn`t shoot. Yes the wires got hot. So I decide being myself to do a fuse bypass. I plug the battery back in and the wires catch on fire? I know WTF. Do you know what is wrong.
Here are the more important specs.
Classic army high torque motor.
8.4v battery
M100 spring.
Can you help me because I need this back up and running and not catching on fire anymore. With that happening I would conclude my wiring is dead now.

Wiring or motor is broken / f***ed
Nelson=Fuked mp5 that was brand new traded. CA high torque motor screw you. Time to pull out a trusty jg motor.
motor tab connector is probably pinched and grounded out. you should probably rredo all the wiring. One way to check is to pull the motor out of the gun and run power to and see if it spins. That will help either point the finger or rule out the motor
Your an idiot. I'm not going to be nice with this one. If ANYTHING gets that hot, you stop and pull out your multimeter. Now might be a good time to learn to solder. The CA HT motor isn't really HT though, and those cheap Chinese batteries are really bad.
First I know how to solder. Next I will test with my multimeter today soon. I`m sorry metallica I got the gun in a trade I don`t have any large type tamiya connecter batteries if you want to send me one feel free. Newbie I will check the motor tab. The reason I posted this is I never had my wires almost catch on fire.
I'm still wondering why you decided to remove the fuse. Most of the other stuff is by the situation, but by god... Anyway, from the way you worded the question I had thought your soldering, let alone electrical skills was poor. Maybe that's unfair of me to do that to you. From now, I'd recommend trying to find any spots where the metal would've contacted the wire to create a short. The MP5K is a different style of MP5 than I'm used to, so I'd have no idea were to look first other than the grip.
Just remember before I started airsofting I was a rcer. I would solder a bunch of stuff together.
I took out to fuse to make sure it wasnt blown up or something. Google fuse bypass if you want to know. So update. I concluded after the wire smoked I blew up the battery. Now I need a large type battery. Anyone here selling one for cheap shoot me a off. Also I done many many competitions that require me to solder stuff.
Modern AEG's don't even really need fuses anymore, only if the motor is botchy. The change of an electrical surge etc. is minimal now.

Really? Care to place your AEG on that?
I just my JG Ak upgraded with deans and a lipo. I really don`t care for a fuse.

Yes, have been using my G36c for over three years now without a fuse and with several different batteries, 8.4V 9.6v and to just see crazy rof was like one of those huge 10.8v (Not my battery) I have also been using my MP5k for a year without one and my SRC M4 without one. (My G36c has had 30,000+ shots through it)

Okay, how about something stupid like a 14.8v? It's not that I doubt you, but your statement was blanket one and stupid.
That defeats the purpose metallicafatcat. Anyone can burn out any electrical circuit by using a high voltage paired with high amperage. Also, that doesn't necessarily mean that the fuse would have protected that from happening (unless your battery had a higher amp output then the fuse to begin with. Which would still defeat the purpose ::)). Fuses protect from spikes associated with a bad battery or a short circuit. Your statement is supercilious at best.

I can vouch for tall grass, I remove the fuse from all my guns, haven't had an issue yet. I also have never had a fuse blow on me, indicating that from what I have personally seen, fuses are basically vestigial parts now within normal circumstances.
I have never had a fuse in my AEGs sans. MOSFET, and never had any problems.
I think I may be thinking on a different level of AEG output than everyone else is thinking... Question to all of you guys without fuses, why don't you have them?
They take up space, I have never had one blow so I don't feel my gearbox and wiring is in danger, and if it does buy the farm I enjoy the extra practice to work on my box. But as I said, I have ran an 11.1 in a bunch of guns without fuse and have yet to have a problem.

Another big reason a tech will give you is that they create resistance, so if your going for a high ROF gearbox setup, any bit of resistance you can remove helps. This means no fuse = faster, by how much I couldn't say but technically it would.

Not to mention a lot of mosfets nowadays have built in resettable fuses.
There are several low resistance fuses out there, that just only makes sense for people who are too incompetent or too lazy to wire one in. IMO, if your worried about fuse space, your lipo probably isn't too big.
