Okay, i'm installing my PDI. Everything goes smoothly.
First the BBs are powering down. Second time, I go back, and the BB jams, tearing a small piece of my bucking off around the end that comes off the barrel, and ripping my smallest O ring in half.
This really sucks, and i'm confused. Is anyone willing to let me ship them my gun or tell me what/how to fix it?

This is an ECHO 1 ASR

Hoggie, did you take a look at the link I sent you via pm? Should have some good pics of the chamber for you.

Ill check after practice :)
Alright, I just glanced, my engineering teacher let me on during class. Anyways, I see the pictures. Only parts i'm confused on is the small o ring, is there a certain depth? And, I'm thinking about how I want to adjust the hopup. My BB's were diving previously, could that be a hopup issue?
If the bbs are diving, it could be because of a couple problems. From what you have described it is probably due to the o ring coming out during it, but here are some other things to make sure of.

1. The bucking has to be aligned a certain way. It cannot just be placed on the barrel and then attached to the chamber. There should be a small slit along the bucking that needs to align with a slit in the barrel. When placing the barrel/bucking onto the chamber, the small protrusion on the inside of the bucking must be placed up facing the small open gap in the PDI chamber. This is where the nubbin goes over top, and the arms put pressure down on the nubbin.

If this is not done correctly, the bb's, when fired, will result in massive HOP DOWN. Even when you adjust the hop up screws for more hop, it will do nothing. Instead, dry firing and low hop shots will result.

It is hard for me to describe the small o ring installation, but I figured it out by reading through this one post will relatively good pictures. There was a method involving the end of a colored pencil (unsharpened side) to keep the o ring from sliding around, while using an allen wrench to fit the o rings in the grooves (inside the chamber).

One of the things that I experienced recently was the fact that my bucking got way too slippery because of excess teflon tape on the cylinder head. That or any grease/lube on the bucking at all could also give the results you speak of. I would check that out.
Hi, I had the same problem when I first installed my PDI hop-up in my ASR. For me, it was that the barrel was sliding out of the hop up chamber when I fired because the hex screws toward the muzzle end of the barrel were not screwed in enough. Whenever the bb hit the bucking, the barrel slid out and the bb got messed up. It was curving down a lot, and made the same sound you're describing. After you replace the O-rings, try making sure the screws are tight, and I even put some tape around the end of it so it couldn't move. This solved my problem nice and quick.
Thanks Will, I may contact you for help aswell, as you've done the ASR recently

Thank you ALL! I GOT it working! It's fast, hits DEAD straight, and is just perfect. Thank you all:)
Could you let us know how you fixed it? Could help some others out in the future.
Basically, what I did was, I installed the small O ring correctly.
Then, I changed the large O ring to a rubber band. Credit to Fuzzy for this.
I installed the hopup screws correctly this time around.
I made sure I tightened the larger hex screws near the barrel end of the houp. Make sure you tighten them so your barrel doesn't move.
Also - Lubing it is a good idea. I can write a guide if you wish. :)
My BBs are powering down, again, somehow. I have no idea whats up >.<
Powering down as in no hop, or low fps? Or both?
As in powering down with no hopup. It's got all its power still.
Possibly a torn bucking. When you said you fixed it, were your shots having good hop (shots going relatively far)? If so, then the bucking is most likely not out of place, but ripped or torn. Could also be a nubbin problem. Or your rubber band (one that replaced the large o ring broke).
Bucking is torn. AGAIN. Small part of the bottom got torn off. Great. Well, any suggestions on buckings? I really don't want to buy another Firefly.
I can't post a picture. But, this picture http://hotspotairsoft.com/catalog/images/fireflyHU.jpg
The part that sticks out, the little part that sticks off the barrel, is missing half. Could that be it?
That is most likely the problem. I recommend guarder softs, G&G softs, and from what I have heard, Systema buckings.
I currently have a hard bucking in. I will select a new one tonight. Im probably going to get a gaurder. Ill keep you posted.
Ok, sounds good. Maybe buy two just in case another one rips.
Just did some reconsidering. Going to buy 2 Systema Buckings, as they seem to be the best of the three in my eyes.
