I own an AGM L96, and I don't see them on here very often... So, I was wondering, what makes this rifle different from other L96 clones? ???

It states it takes a variety of PSS10 and PSS2 parts, but I learned it takes neither and that the parts are slightly off from being 100% compatible with say the VSR 10. For instance the receiver did not fit a VSR, nor did the cylinder parts, even though they were supposed to.

AGM l96 is quite possibly the worst gun I have ever laid my hands on.

Seems to work well for me, as I only do casual airsoft. :) I have no intentions to upgrade this gun, I'll just get a better one (upgradeable) somewhere down the road. (this was only my first gun and my first foray into sniping.) Thank you for your time,
Matt

AHAHAHAHHA Fuzzy is my hero. Signature worthy.
HOw many sigs have come from fuzzy and woogie, ye should try counting.
A lot. I don't know why, but they're so good at making signatures.

yeah Matt, I'm in the same boat as you. It was and is my first and only sniper rifle and I've never needed to change that. I don't spend thousands of dollars on gear and I don't travel long distances for this season's biggest games, I'm just a guy who loves sniping and loves his AGM L96 no matter the problems it may encounter or it's inability to stack up to the big names. It's like a first car.
How is the trigger pull on your AGM's? On the one I got my hands on, trigger pull was not easy at all, required three people to fire it...Okay, it was not that bad, but perhaps I simply was experiencing one that had a few more probs than the norm.
Not hard at all. It has a little bit of travel that's hindered by a spring then you hit the real deal and its probably about a pound or so. It's never been enough to throw off my aim or anything like that. Even when I'm standing and shooting.
Hmm, interesting. The trigger pull on the AGM I had experience with definitely could throw off your shots. Perhaps it was somewhat of a lemon in the trigger box department.
Well I certainly am sorry you got a lemon. I would ask if you took it apart but they are so confusing, especially the separately sealed parts: trigger box, cylinder, etc.
I actually did not own it, just had the opportunity to handle her a little and compare it to my rifle. I took it apart and scrapped the bits on the forum.
The only problem I have with mine is sometimes the mag shoots all of the BBs into the chamber if I load too many into it... Other than that, it's pretty dang accurate.
I know EXACTLY what you mean matt! How many do you load in there usually? I can never find a pattern to the the mag defect. Some people said it was cocking it to fast, it seems to me that it happens when I cock it slowly. I never tried messing with the amount of bb's in it. i usually just load 20 or so.

It usually happens when I speed load more than 4 pushes, and when I cock slowly. I just had another casual battle yesterday with 6 other guys, and it worked beautifully. No jams but for one (and that was a BB in the mag well). So, it was quite worth the money, for my usage of it. I don't go to airsoft fields (I don't think we have them near me in Idaho...) and I don't really have the time or money to upgrade. On a side note, I got it from Airsplat with 5,000 .25 BBs and a speed loader. Though, my next airsoft purchase will be from Airsoft GI.
