So,I finally broke down and decided to start logging my journey through sniperland,after watching what others were doing(ripperkon and friends).
So,what do you think are the 5 basics of airsoft sniping,and why?

Basically, I have studied in the art of camouflage for awhile now.not military or airsoft.
Magazines,books(field manuals),anything I could get my hands on.any sniper movie I
Could see. I got into airsoft about 2yrs.now.mix those together.airsoft sniper!
After being into the role for about a year, I came across ripperkon.I started watching him and his friends and others.Now,I am takeing the role evenmore serious.

5 basics of airsoft sniping
1.weapon system
2.being able to shoot straight
3.blending into your surroundings(camo)
4.movement
5.style of play

Welcome to the forum. I agree with your five basics but I would add a more inportant one: patience, and lots of it. No one can be a good airsoft sniper with out it.

Patience would fall under#5(style of play)
If I am without a scout,I may want to play a more
non aggressively "patient style".

Breaking down the basics:
•The primary mission of the airsoft sniper
is to eliminate selected targets.How well the sniper does,
depends on his knowledge,understanding and application
of various field techniques that allow him to
move,hide,observe and detect targets.
To be good at camouflage,you must first understand
"what gives you away",these are called (target indicators)
1)sound
2)movement
3)improper camo
4)disturbing the wildlife
5)odors
