I wouldn't really mind if they filled it with crap parts as long as the body is solid. You pretty much have to rework all Airsoft replicas in some way or another to make them shoot well. Who knows maybe they learned from the last few mess ups.

Ohhhh why can't someone just make some externals that fit VSRs, Maruzen L96s and clones, CA M24s etc. ? We already have great base guns, it would just be good to have some new stocks!

If they were to make nothing buy PARTS for the VSR and APS-2 style of rifles they would make far more than they would by trying to make full rifles. Like george said, many, if not all, of their rifles have custom parts that you can only get from ARES. Which is a great idea if you want to make more money, but bad since you are forcing people to start all over. Why buy a rifle that wont use any of the spare parts that you already have?

If they were to make the stock so it was a VSR drop in, they would be able to sell it for $250 or so. That would be cheap considering the price of the material and the machine work. So that price really wouldn't be a bad thing to a serrious player.
