You can still get it from Asia. I have no idea why this isn't released by US websites yet though.

When MGunner said it was expensive he really wasn't kidding.
I honestly wouldn't spend that much on a sniper rifle especially when you'll end up wanting to swap out parts anyway and end up dumping at least 1200 if you don't have upgrade parts on hand.

The original m24 had an internal magazine. Hence the door.
They later changed it have a detachable magazine.
I thought the same as you until I really did some research.
