ASGI G700

I was just looking at this product wondering the same thing!

On the one hand it sounds pretty good. But then again, maybe to good to be true.

exactly why i was hesitant about it.

But even with that, what could be wrong with it? I don't think ASGI parts are bad and I haven't heard horror stories about the Socom Gear.

I don't know, I think i could believe it. With the G4 series they offer you a great deal on some of the guns, and being an owner of a G4 it preforms quite well, and is all it is said to be. So i don't think ASGI is one of those companies trying to squeeze all the money out of you as they can, i think they're trying to drag more people in the sport by making good quality guns for cheaper than they're worth.

i wonder if they already took out the recoil engine.

That's a pretty good question. Isn't it much faster, more reliable and get further range when this RSS is removed?

I would assume because that is less parts to go wrong.

I hope someone tries out this gun soon, I want to see it perform.

I would, but i just bought a kwa m4a1.

I just bought a CA M4. Oh well, someone will buy it eventually.

Something i don't understand is how it is only getting 530-575 fps, it should be getting like 600 with the 170 spring and the 6.01.

As a SG R700 owner, the differences are monumental in my opinion. The gun is: much more quiet, had it's fps increased from around 280-300 to around 340 (rough estimate, stock spring), more accurate at ranges of 50-60 ft +, and it doesn't have that bogus "recoil" feeling anymore... I hated it. The gun is all around more reliable with the weights removed from the piston.

The only downside of removing it is that you may have to smooth up or sand the part of the cylinder where the pin was removed for more efficient and less scratchy bolt pull backs. I've also heard that air compression COULD possibly be a problem if done incorrectly, but I highly doubt ASGI would make a mistake like that when upgrading their "custom" gun.

What bothered me is that I ordered my R700 about a week before they came out with their own G700. A week following the release, my friend bought their G700. -_-

funny, i was just about to post a link and ask what you guys thought of it. But then i saw this hah.

ok im using a cheap TSD m14 socom sniper im able to hit a chest sized target 150 ft away 8/10 times with .25s. but i am easily out ranged by my friends AEG.. and im tired of it. what exactly is the range of the G700 can it shoot 250+.

to get it to 250+, you will need to spend time with it and try to coax the most accuracy possible.

o i have no problem spending hours even days to get it shooting 250+ if i put enough love into it do you think id be able to hit 300 with the right bb??

With PERFECT wind conditions, the right shooter, and the grace of God, yes.
250 feet shouldn't be much of a problem if what they say it shoots like is true, but out past that, you will need to spend some time with it.
300 feet is an incredibly long shot for airsoft, and there really are not that many people who have the rifle and skill to do it consistently, which is the key word, you might be able to get 4/10 shots at 300 feet with a lot of work, but that is not consistent enough to really call that a skirmish-able distance.
