Great advice silent.

Totally agree with everything that he said. If you are able to get your rifle to shoot consistently at 250' then that is great. I know there are a few of us that can shot at the 300' mark, but during a game is it really feasible to do so...... usually not.

Make the rifle as accurate as possible. Because the range wont mean squat if you can't hit what you are shooting at.

It also really depends on what terrain you play in. where i play, you usually cannot get more that 225-275 feet of open country. Also, for my field we have to have a 150' engagement distance which really sucks. On the flipside though, we can have our rifle shooting 600 fps with a .25 :)

150'.... THAT REALLY SUCKS.. ya my field has everything thick swamps, pine trees planted for a wood mill (so long line of sight with the right angle), paths that are 400 ft straight at some areas, hills, a 100ft bridge crossing a 80 ft wide river (Imposible to wade across), so i have a good veriaty of field options. ya i have to say accuracy is key but its nice to have the option to take a 300ft shot. but at that distance you have to lead your target also wind becomes a big factor... but it still would be nice. lol

We are getting to the point at my field that we can shoot at what we feel safe. As long as you aren't hurting people and what not then it is generally ok.

But of course when you get people that have a 400fps rifle and insist on shooting people from close up... yeah we call them out on it.

Ok I just got the G700 last Sunday. It came with 2 mags and scope. The quality build is like a bar-10 and the bolt pull is stiff but that's cause of the 550FPS spring. Anyways the gun itself is light, weighs around 4 pounds with the scope mounted. To the shooting test!!!
I loaded it with washed .36g bb's and adjusted the hop up just right. This rifle shoots awesome! Right out of the box it shoots great. I was hitting a 2 liter bottle at 180ft 9/10 shots. I would say the maximum effective range for this is 200ft. The groupings of the bb's at 160-180ft were good. Only about 1 inch spread, but at 200ft the groupings spread was 10 inches apart. But that is pushing the weapons limits. P.S. I shot a beer bottle at point blank range and it shattered!!
Pros
-Great low budget rifle
-Accurate
-Strong

Cons
-too light
-bolt pull is hard (decreasing rate of fire)

Interested to see how reliable/durable this rifle is after some heavy use. With a 550 fps spring and airsoft gi internals, I am curious as to how well it holds up. Would love to see some pictures in the gallery :)
