The person who would most likely know about that is Cheese. Most of us usually only work on one type of rifle, at least at any given time. I couldn't tell you about aps2 but AEGs have longer buckings, so to my knowledge that means a longer groove. AEGs also don't have the little notch the end of the bucking grabs onto. Other than that I'm not sure about what the difference is between VSR and aps2 cuts.

So, the difference is just in where the little grooves are.

I can't take a picture for you, but the VSR for example, has a ring cut into the barrel right after the hop cut. The AEG, had just the one groove going down the bottom of the barrel. The APS-2 cut has a groove down the top and bottom of the barrel (top being the side with the hop cut). Generally when I do barrel cuts I recommend that the client just sand down their buckings so I don't have to do the little grooves (they are a real pain, and can get very difficult to do right).
