Impossible to answer. Why would port in the first place, and how would you port it? I'm assuming you have ported a barrel before...?

The idea is that it bleeds off extra air before the bb leaves the control of the barrel. Having an over volumed system will throw off your accuracy.
Edgi barrels do porting.

Personally, I don't see the purpose in porting unless you have an LRB, and even then...

I'm not familliar with the KC02 in operation, so take this with a grain of salt. But if you have excess air volume, and its not adjustable I dont see how it would hurt accuracy if you ported the barrel. However Porting the barrel is basically the same as just cutting off the end, unless you have an LRB. If you hae an LRB it relies on the entire barrel length to put the back spin on the BB, moreso than a normal hop up.

It looks cool... that is about all.

Though I am looking at doing the same thing with my KC-02, though I currently have an Npas in the rifle so I can adjust her when needed. But on a rifle where you have no adjustment you will loose power before the bb leaves the barrel.

Why not wait till you get it, test fire it, then decide?
I recently put a 6.01mm X 650mm into my POS gun (But it's what I've got), and I ported it.
But for a different reason.
Works fabulously.
