Alright, so i got a tanaka m40a1 yesterday as an early christmas present because i liked my friends so much. im running it off green gas with madbull .30s. When i shoot though, my bbs go about 100ft straight and then curve left hard. is this because of the inner barrel? Im gonna end up buying a precision barrell anyway but i just wanted to know why they are curving off.

It could be due to a whole host of things, most probable is its a new hop rubber and hasn't broken in yet, it could be a barrel mis alignment, this is easily cured with barrel spacers, a bit more technically involved is a hop arm/nub mis alignment, requiring taking apart and fettling, next the not so obvious obvious, it could be the wind along your firing lane your testing on and it could be you have zeroed your scope at to short a range, if you have zeroed it at all ;).

Sadly without actually having the rifle in my hands its all down to you to do the process of elimination :-/
