Tightness doesn't matter as much as build quality. Also barrel length doesn't matter a huge amount for gas guns cause the gas is always expanding so there will always be qnough air behind the bb to propel it correctely and not caue inaccuracies. - spelt wrong I know

It depends on the distance, I beleive the tighter ones are better for closer ranges and the losser ones for like 190ft plus or something, can't tell ya where I heard it though.
