NOTE: I am posting this thread because I am looking for a pistol to accompany me in sniping. By posting this on a sniping forum I can find out what is best for future air soft players and myself, find some legit pistols and their reviews.

Disclaimer aside what is the best(or a really good pistol) under $130.
I have heard that the tm mk23 is a good choice but I havnt seen it new for anything below $175.

Do you NEED a pistol specifically, or are you just looking for a secondary? Does it have to fit in a holster or could it be slung? What sort of temperatures do you see?

Yes the TM Mk23 is an excellent pistol with the downside of high cost and difficulty finding a holster.

You might try one of the CYMA AEP's. I know a guy who runs a TM G18 and it's silent and effective, if a bit slow.

I am looking for one, I would prefer it to be in a holster attached to my leg. I live in Texas so anywhere from 100+ degrees(with 80%+ humidity may I add) or down to the low 30s in the winter (which will cause brass barrels to become less efficient and more prone to bending, ask any person that plays a brass instrument like me).

I am a huge glock 18 fanboy, and cannot stress how much I love my TM g-18c. However, if it is a little bit out of your range, WE makes some decent handguns for the price.

First off: Drop leg holsters are horrible for the sniper role. Heck they are on the way out for CQC these days as well.
Second: you don't want a gas pistol with blow-back in that case. Once things get well below freezing then you aren't going to get much efficiency.
Third: brass barrels work just fine regardless of temperature. You simply will not get appreciable movement until you have much more than a 70 degree change.

Get either an AEP, a NBB Mk23 or add some more cash for an Ares CCP with a good sling.

You could get a y&p mk23 clone, a couple of cans of green gas, some bbs, an extra mag for and a radio pouch for a holster for 130 from Airsplat.com

I have 2 of them. They shoot straight and quiet.

All TM Glocks require upgrade parts almost right out of the box if you use green gas.
the trigger bar bent in in the first 2 mags !!
Not an expansive part but it gives me on my nerves when this is happening.

I'd strongly suggest you to consider the Marui Hi Capa, they are among the best airsoft pistols.
Big gas reservoir and great accuracy and range, plus they have a plethora of upgrade parts for them!
