OK guys this is what I am thinking of......

I have been looking around at the rifles that are under $100. And there are some that look like they may have some potential. So what about keeping this thread, kind of like an Uber thread, of things that can be done to the cheap rifles out there.

Have nothing but DIY stuffies to help out the newer guys that want to get into the sport, and those that bought that "crappy" first rifle due to cost.

I figure if would be fun to see what we all can come up with. I have been looking personally at the Well MB06. It is a clone of the Maruzen SR-2 rifle. Looks really BA in my opinion.

I know there is also the ever popular UTG 324. I personally have that one still to this day, and yes it was my first rifle for airsoft. And I love the thing..... even though you can pull the back of the bolt clean off....

So what do you think guys... You up to the task?

A few "rules" to consider.....
1.. Post what gun you are going to "mod"
2.. Only things that can be done in your home are allowed
3.. Parts can come from any rifle, just don't go nuts ;)
4.. Make sure to post what you did and how you did it, pics a plus (if ok with the mods)
5.. Nothing to custom... no metal lathes, mills, or special tools
6.. Gotta look cool.... this one is kind of a given

Mods if you think this is a dumb idea or pointless lemme know or just delete it.

I'd play this game but I've a feeling it might be alittle unfair on the other patisipants..... not that theres prizes or anything ;)

Would be good to see what everyone else comes up with though

Woogie, this would be really great for all of the newer guys that want to get into the sport and try it out before they drop over $600 into a gun. I personally would like to to build one from a UTG M324. So, I'm one of those guys actually that would like to build one for cheaper than normal and still get some kind of good range out of it. Will be looking forward to the list of upgrades I could put into a M324 to upgrade one myself.

Oh yeah that is what I was thinking of... I am sure that us guys over on this side of the pond could just wipe the floor with you guys

Bring it Vindi!!
Was that you slapping me across the face with a gauntlet in a challenging kind of way? ;)

If so, are we just talking BA upgrades here or can we mod SASS?

I only ask as I bought a knackered old G36C for

LOL....

Well it wasn't so much of a gauntlet as much as it was a wet noodle.

But yeah sounds good Vindi!! That is the kind of thing that I was talking about. I just need to sell my KJ m700 and stuff and I will be able to get one or two rifles to work on.

Here is a REALLY GOOD THREAD from Vindi he did a while ago.

Dunno Vindi.... may have bitten a little more off than i can handle

But being as I already have the UTG MK96 I am planning on using that and seeing what I can do with her.

Yes I know I already have a few upgraded parts.... but.. The mods you should be able to do to the stock rifle and have good results.

I do plan on using some of Vindi's tricks to make the L96 as BA as possible.

Bloody hell! forgot I did that! :-/

Needs a bit of updating though ie stuff about the heat shrink on the nozzle end not being as effective as whipping the hop rubber at both ends, and after a bit of reseach it turns out that a shorter nozzle increases accuracy, a long one increases consistency, but hey I'm only human ;)

My build off entry.....

What I bought for

LOL ...

Heck see if you can't find a weapon that a friend has and offer to build it up for him if he gives you a little cash for it.

I am thinking about doing my buddies G-Spec for him... And still seeing if I can get my hands on one of those MB06's.

It is that small hollow bolt that holds the bolt cap, bolt knob to the cylinder it self. I found a heavy duty bolt at work and make it work

Just finished putting a longer rail on the rifle as well

*edit*
Well I have all the paint stripped from the reciever and barrel
Anyone for a chrome rifle? lol Picking up the paint after work today and will get her a nice covering.
