Ok guys, I am at my wits end with this thing. I have a game this weekend and the next two days off work so i need to get this thing working, here is the problem:

So i got a CA stainless 6.04 x 499mm barrel for my ASR that was originally meant for a G3. I was hoping to post a thread with targets showing the stock (6.06) v. a DB Custom (6.01) v. this CA barrel... but I cannot get the CA to stay on paper at 110' where as the DB was 9/10 at the same range and the stock was even 8/10 with 2 fliers just off paper.

All 3 barrels were polished and waxed, and the same .36 and .43 bbs were fired for all shots and were all washed the same time in the same way. nothing else has changed with the rifle internally or externally. I tried everything from changing my ROF to let the hop up rest between shots to successive shots with different weight BBs and no matter what this thing will not stay level... I am contemplating trying a new hop up, but I am not sure that that will make the difference since it is spreading left-right and vertically... ??? ??? ???

Yeah... totally didnt notice that I had it in the wrong section... thanks for the move dutton! lol. but yes, as they say, hindsight is 20/20... and I sold the DB planning to get a .03/.04 lol. I am pretty sure the barrel is straight, I am going to tear it down again tomorrow and see if I missed something or did something horribly wrong, but I am confused how a .01 could be that much better than a larger bore...

Edit: To clarify about my reasoning behind changing the hop up, if the 6.01 AND the 6.06 were tighter than the 6.04... then the .04 should be somewhere in between at the very least... if everything else is identical right?

So as far as the hop up is concerned. Right now I am using a firefly in the stock unit (APS2/L96 type). I am thinking that between the notches on the arm and the nubbs on the bucking it is too much (actually I dont know why this hasn't occured to me before), but at the very least I think I will try a new bucking tomorrow and see how that goes...

That is what I was thinking. Today I was hoping to get to my local shop and locate a hard "nubless" bucking but they did not have any, and after scouting fields for the game this weekend, it looks like I wont actually be using my ASR or my ghillie for this one as the terrain is WAY different... so this is going to the back-burner for the time being while I DSR my G36 for this weekend... but hopefully I will get to tinker with it some time next week and get it working.
