CA M14 EBR, or A&K SR-25?

I have been wanting to make a full-fledged DMR for a while now, however, until now I was lacking the funds and time. Now that I have the money, I was wondering if I should get the Classic Army M14 EBR, or the A&K SR-25.
Here are (as I see), the pros and cons of each:

CA M14 EBR:
Pros:
-High quality, very durable and fully upgradable V. 7 gearbox
-Li-Poly ready
-Very Accurate
-Lots of rail space

Cons:
-Front wired
-$370

A&K SR-25

Pros:
Pre-upgraded
-425 fps
-Precision inner barrel
-Lightweight
-Cheaper than the CA EBR

Also, is the CA M14 EBR capable of pulling an m140 spring without upgrades to the motor, piston, shims, gears and bucking?
You will want to upgrade all of that, even if it could pull the 140. I am not an AEG guy, but I would suggest the SR-25. they are rear wired thus being able to accommodate a larger and better battery, it is more money in upgrades and there is ALOT of them out there, but DIY mods will limit upgrade cost's, the GB (gear box) I believe is a V2 or V2.5, so it has a P* conversion if you want that.

The inner barrel should/is the last thing you'd be worried about, hop up and the GB is the main thing, then a higher spring, try to get a " thick spring and then just cut it to the FPS you desire, it will have a long life span, opposed to standard thin springs of equal % of power" - 1tonne.

Now from experience with "pre-upgraded" rifles from online and walk in stores, they have cheap upgrades at high cost.

The real question is, how far are you willing to go and what is your budget? if it is enough, invest in a P*, they are probably the best upgrade a person can make and it is a long term investment. I have heard the EBR is a good rifle, but being front wired limits its battery, not to mention the stock issues. I was talking to a guy how had to modify his stock on an EBR "can't remember what it was" but, he just bought it along with maybe $300 worth of upgrades, but the stock broke under the weight of the rifle. you could see where he had taped it up, he said he is gonna be buying a new stock and replacing the arm/legs of it with steel rebar.. Pretty much SR-25, is gonna be best, but try not to get a pre-upgraded one, unless you know WHAT EXACTLY IS IN IT and have seen it in person.

My 2 cents

Sorry about being new to this (my first real project gun) but what is a P?
A P* is Fusion engine that converts an AEG to a HPA system, they are reliable, and very popular with a lot of players, even new ones. Here is their page to get more information on their systems. Fusion Engine - Products

They are pretty sweet, but can get pricy and I would HIGHLY suggest you have a person who has done this before. If you can find a reliable guy in CA that is close to you, you might be able to see how/what he/she does to put it in so you have an idea on the process.

The pros:
Reliable; very, very consistent (I heard as far down as 1+/- change in FPS with a 50rd magazine).

Cons: the price is normally $450-$600
Oh gotcha, a POLARSTAR fusion engine. I was thinking of getting one, but the guns themselves are cheaper than the drop-in engines, so if I was going to go with
a polarstar, I would just buy a standard m4 polarstar, and just do a couple of upgrades. Thanks for the help!
If you get a SR 25, this is the spring you need.

Since the cylinder is longer, it takes a longer spring.
I currently just pulled the trigger on my p* a&k sr25 conversion and love it. however finding midcaps is almost impossible. so if you're happy with a hicap then go for the sr25. everyone else make good suggestions but never heard about the lack of mags as a con for the sr25 so there it is.

G&P 170 round (BB) SR-25 magazine $20.00 G&P SR25 170rd Magazine for SR25 AEG

Ares 160rd SR25 magazine $17 ARES SR-25 Magazine (Black)

I don't know if they fit into the A&K SR25 but I didn't find any A&K '25 magazines at all. Now, why did they take them off the market? They seem to be mighty popular.

The A&K magazines will have a similar design to G&P. It may be a tight fit. You can either sand or try switching the outer sleeve with the Hicap outer sleeve. This worked on n my CA SR 25.
the g&p are the only ones that i know of that will fit. however everywhere is out of stock. it seems evike will have some beginning october though. the pmags used to but they discontinued them. if you can find used ones, snatch them up.
