I've been flopping back and forth between the JGW M24, E1 M28, CA M24, and the BAR 10 and find I should just take the plunge with this. Here's my expected build unless I can get cheaper parts:

- CA M24 Civilian = $220
- Systema Hop up bucking Will this fit? = ~$7
- Madbull 6.03mm 509mm TBB = $34
- Laylax APS2 Cylinder - Do I have to get a new cylinder head or can I use the stock head with it? And is there a cheaper cylinder? = $110
- Guarder APS2 Bolt Handle = $45
- Laylax Piston = $45
- Modify Stainless Steel Spring Guide = $20
- Laylax Piston Head = $18 OR IS APS Piston Head - is the IS APS head fine? = $9
Total = $490

$90 over budget:/ If anyone can link me to cheaper parts, especially a new (BUT RELIABLE) cylinder that would be great.

And any feedback would be great too guys, I need all the info I can get!

Do you have to do it all at once? You could buy all of it over time when you get more money. also, I'm a bit lost on why you need the Guarder APS2 Blot Handle?
I don't plan to buy it all at once, but I want to set a limit because I really don't have much money at all with college starting up.

Been reading/hearing about how weak the bolt handle/cylinder is on the CA M24 and it breaking/etc. so I'd rather replace it before a problem occurs at all.

Everything looks good and will fit, including the IS piston head, EXCEPT for the spring guide. You will be able to use the stock cylinder head with the cylinder, too.

The M24 comes with a metal spring guide, and doesn't need to be replaced unless you plan on using a 9mm spring as opposed to the stock 7mm spring.

I see you have an APS cylinder selected, keep in mind you'll need an APS bolt handle too, which you have listed. PDI also makes APS cylinders, which work, but the Laylax will have significantly easier bolt pull on it, due to the teflon coating.

I do plan on keeping the stock spring, but thanks for the insight on a stock metal spring guide(didn't know that!). Woogie has persuaded me to get a PDI hop up chamber for ~$65+. Moneymoneymoneymoney:( :shrug:
