I use anti-fog goggles with my ghillie. I used to use goggles specially for airsoft but lately I've been using swimming goggles (the ones shaped like airsoft goggles) because they don't fog and they are much cheaper in price.

I was just getting some stuff at the army surplus store and happened to see a pair of government issue SWDG (sun wind dust goggles) and got them on a whim. They were 20$ so if they were only somewhat good it isn't that big of a loss. It comes with clear and tinted lenses. I'll try them out later but it has several vent holes all around the frames that seem like they will stop fog, although there is no anti-fog coating on the goggles.

Mesh goggles are banned by me as well. As are shooting glasses. It is either normal goggles/paintball mask or nothing. You also have to be over a certain age to not wear full head protection. Yes, full head, not just face.

Why would you remove the vents and foam if you want to prevent fogging? The vents are only there to stop fogging.

Oh so you are cutting out sections of the vents and the foam. I thought you were just taking all of it off so the goggles would be closer to your face but without any airflow.

Oh those things I don't have. I have holes with some sort of thin cloth to prevent dust from entering uner the holes. The goggles Ijust got are SWDG (sun wind dust goggles). Got them at the army surplus store yesterday. I guess I can cut larger holes or get the fan if needed. Before now I have been using goggles without vents or foam or anything, just the rubber frames and lens.

It was one of those spur of the moment things if I remembered that phrase right. Anywho, it was only 15$ and with lenses that offer ballistic protection for real guns you can't go wrong. came with the clear, tinted, and laser lens.

Why yellow lens? Personally if it isn't clear or gray tinted it would drive me nuts.

I get the feeling that people think glasses/ goggles are better than mesh goggles.
Most of us just have mesh goggles banned at our fields. Also the non-mesh goggles are the high quality ones, or at least are considered high quality.

I rate mesh higher than glasses beause glasses move around way too much and if a bb gets just to the side of your glasses it can riccochet off of something and into your eyes. Trust me, I've watched it happen to a friend. It bounced off the side of the bridge of his nose and into his eye. It happened two years ago so he's fine now.

It also depends on how tightly woven the mesh is and whether it is stamped or woven mesh. I have seen some pretty loosely woven mesh where a bb cracked and half the bb went through. It only split in two but still it got through the mesh. A lot of goggles however are so tightly woven they won't let pine needles through. If you do happen to use mesh make sure it's tightly woven or have small stamped holes.

Really? I've seen many woven mesh masks and goggles deform and become useless, but I've never seen or heard of a stamped one failing!
It depends on the quality of the weave and the materials used. Like I said there are looser and tighter weaves. I have never actually seen a stamped mesh being used so I can't say anything on that other than that my iron face mask has drilled holes, many drilled by me because it kept collecting condensation from my breath.
