Really? I've seen many woven mesh masks and goggles deform and become useless, but I've never seen or heard of a stamped one failing!

It depends on the quality of the weave and the materials used. Like I said there are looser and tighter weaves. I have never actually seen a stamped mesh being used so I can't say anything on that other than that my iron face mask has drilled holes, many drilled by me because it kept collecting condensation from my breath.

Stamped mesh is damn solid, and there's less pain flaking with really close shots, but it also limits your sight just a tiny bit. It makes it a bit harder to see, mostly at distance.

@Oderfa I'm using ghillie suit only during spring and late autumn games!
With temperatures close to 40 degrees Celsius it's almost impossible to wear a ghillie during summer.
It's the best solution for ghillie, but you should use the second speed of the fan quite early to avoid fogging.

Also these are goggles and they have better protection from bbs! A guy with glasses got shot right next to his eye, the bb found his way from the side of glasses!

I saw on another thread somewhere in another forum a substance called "cat crap" that is an anti fog. Good reviews about it too. Never looked any further into it though.

When I buy a new pair of goggles, I clean them with a little bit of toothpaste. Just rub it in dry on both sides of the lens and then rinse. After that, spit works like magic.

I went through pair of tinted and clear lens glasses, T800 goggles and a different type of goggle( i dont know what its called) yesterday in a 3 and a 1/2 hour session. All of them fogged but the googles performed the best. However I found they were not as comfortable as glasses for sighting my rifle. The clear glasses kept fogging every few seconds with the tinted ones being not much better. i am out tomorrow so I will try the t800 goggles again but I need to get a solution. I fact that I hardly get shot at much when I am in my ghillie makes me think that mesh is a good option but lots of you think that its too dangerous. Also I am worried that in low level light in a forest they might darken my vision hindering my ability to see clearly through my scope. Ahh....what to do, what to do?..

Nope. It's an old cold water diver secret (well, not very secret but still). Use this on all of my dive masks and airsoft mask. Just rub in with your finger and it wont scratch it. Just any old toothpaste will do.

Whoa whoa.. wait a minute,lol.. Not any old toothpaste.. Dont use anything that has abrasives like MOST toothpastes do these days. I think that most all pastes since the 90's have abrasives in them, get cheap dollar tree stuff. If theres baking soda in it, it will scratch. Thats why toothpaste is to effective is due to the tiny little particles in them.

I use the cheap stuff too if I can,lol.. but way back in the day I used to use regular toothpaste to hang stuff up, pictures posters etc... It was the thick green or blue stuff. I cant hardly find that stuff anymore, even the cheapest has them little bead like things in them. At least thats all I seem to notice,lol.. I have been hearing about people using the paste and was thinking one day I might try it and see what happens, I mean the worst that happens is I have to rinse out a little toothpaste and smell minty fresh all day,hahahaha.. my parents always skimped out on a few items when I was a kid.. cheap toothpaste, cheap hot dogs and lots of mac and cheese,lol.. I no longer eat hot dogs or mac, but if I could find that old kind of paste, you can fill nail holes in the wall, glue stuff to your wall and hang your satalite from your house,lol.. Keep them clean for one. A wash before taking the field is good enough. I use Opsdrops, but catcrap might do the same thing.

My military friend swears by spitting in them and rubbing it around.

I have also hear of people putting bandaides in them, tucking into the frame. Apparently the vapours from the adhesive do something helpful.

Never heard of that one before. I will have to try that one out sometime.

So cheap gel toothpaste? We played a night game last night and the only clear glasses I had, had a little tint on them and i couldn't see ANYTHING! I have some revision bullet ant goggles, but I never use them. We have another night game this weekend. I'm going to get some yellow and clear shooting glasses and bring my goggles just incase.
