I had personally found that crawling on my stomach with the original tanaka m700 aics stock cumbersome. Does anyone know if a stock like this: http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/ubb/showflat/Number/4831188
would work? I have read that it will fit with minor modification. Has anyone tried fitting one? Can it be done with a dremle and sand paper? What would I have to do about the mag release?
Thanks in advance,
Mike

The only real difference between the m700, m40a1, and acis is the stock its self the bolts and trigger assembly are basically the same. The only difference is the m40a1 has a shorter barrel then the others. What I am doing is taking a stock from a CAm24 and am going to mod it to fit the m700. When I get the stock I will make a how to, but im just waiting to buy it from some one on this site.

Also that stock might work, the hols seam to be in the right spot but I dont know if the metal piece around the trigger on the acis is the same as a m700, but i can look around for you and have a answer shortly.

Ok after some researching i found out that the upper assembly can be swapped only with a whole m24/m40 stock because of this piece.(in the yellow box)

You would need one like this to fit a m24/m40 style stock.(Again in yellow)

Hope this helped

Like I said before as long as you have the part in the yellow box then you are good to go. No mod's needed the upper receiver meaning the bolt, and trigger box are the same on the m700, m40, m24. so you can change them if you get a boneyard with that part that is in the yellow box.

I asked on another forum and a guy said for the kjw stock I would have to tap the stock to make additional attachment points and also he said I would have to widden out the barrel part. What do I guys think of this? And if I did use a kjw stock it would most deffinetly come with the trigger guard and the magwell.
Thanks again for your guyses help.

Hey guys Yesterday I received an M700 Police, I really don't like the police model mostly because the slim barrel so I'm gone replace it with the G&G heavy barrel. I'm thinking to convert the stock to McMillan A4 so to make it M40A3, Can someone give the M40A3 Stock dimensions? A bit more detailed dimensions than the ones McMillan provides.

Thanks

$500?? I've purchased the whole gun with mags bipod and scope for $300.
It's a thought I'd like to it like that. I'll do some research and I'll see maybe I came across with a cheaper stock.
Unfortunately I don't own and I haven't seen any M40A3 around to take measurement so if some own one please help.
