How can I cover my neck with Burlap, jute and Vegetation.

Right now my Boonie has no more room left for anything on it, can I sew or glue some net to cover my neck? Or should I just use elastic bands on my shoulders?

Is it possible to remove material from the back of your boonie and add longer jute or burlap?

I believe you are trying to cover the back of your neck correct? If so, you should attach some netting to the boonie so that it is hanging off the back side as well as the left and ride sides of the boonie.

Either, but if you glue it, reinforce it with Floss. Do not use the low quality stuff. It will break.

You CAN, but I would go to the store whenever you can and get some.

Just use shoe glue. Dab a good amount on... I can't rip it off if I try. You can't say that about floss, cause it can rip through the material on the boonie. You can do both... but just save the time.

That is what I was saying. You can Double up on both to make it twice as strong. Just in case it snags on something tough.

To reinforce what Sono said:

You CAN use JUST Shoe Goo...

You CANNOT JUST use floss...

The reason being, the floss will come undone without the glue to reinforce it to prevent the threads from coming undone. For my boonie, I don't bother with floss. I simply use glue. For the ghillie I use floss and dab some glue over top.

Also, an alternative to Shoe Goo is Fabric glue. It costs a bit more but forms just as solid.

Thanks guys, I am just going to use some Shoe goo and fishing net. I don't have any floss I can trust so I'm going to skip it.

I think the most effective way to attach netting to a boonie is using the slots around the brim of it.
