From what I've read and what I've been told, crowning has to do with causing turbulent airflow to become more stable when the BB exits the barrel. More stable airflow= more stable BB= more accurate shots.
That's why I would have assumed the burrs on my crown would have affected my shots, but the accuracy is the same as ever.
