Hey guys I recently got my hands on a desktop 4 axis CNC router and I am looking forward to making some VSR parts! The first stuff I am going to make once I get it running will be assorted hop up nubs of all shapes including bridge tensioners and the like. Does this sound like stuff you all will be interested in? If I end up making some good stuff I may start distributing (After serious testing of course). Also keep in mind aluminum is a pretty hard material for nubs so this will most likely be best suited for heavy bb/ high joule applications.

I would be interested the the nubs that you could make, if they work.

My weekend ends this Monday night so tomorrow morning will be a pic dump but i have yet to get solidworks to communicate with my CNC controller software, however, things are moving! Sorry for the agonizing wait.

How complex a shape can you make pal? Also how large? i have some requirements for this and offering the work to someone who actually understands an airsoft application would be nice!!
Hey I have some pictures now about what I can do although I am still running into problems with getting an old computer tower to run the controller software (I need an old tower because this machine is old enough that it requires parallel port connection:lame:) This is a normally 3 axis mill with an optional 4th axis in the form of a lathe attachment. its a desktop mill so the parts i can make will be pretty small, no bigger than 5x5x5in. Here are some pictures(the picture of the not finished gear was the last thing this machine ever attempted to make):

That is a cool toy!

Regarding the missing parallel port, can't you try with a PCI-Express parallel card?
At the moment i only have a laptop as a personal computer. I sourced a free tower from a friend and want to use it as a permanent slave to be dedicated solely for CNC purposes and i have tried a usb to parallel port converter, it does not work unfortunately(it cannot communicate correctly due to the shear difference in number of pins)

I have a parallel card in this tower, however, I just found out that the donated tower has a paperweight for a power supply. Maybe one day I can get this thing moving:( Sorry for the almost backwards moving progress.

There is hope!

Ok, so this weekend(tomorrow) I will be going to pick up a bunch of computer nonsense and hopefully have this thing running by the end of Sunday? Also note that I am planning to make other stuff than just nubs. Here is a random test iron sight I created to see what this thing can do:
