Im Ordering a Cybergun Mauser Pro Tactical in a couple of days and i've done hours of research.I've been researching on the UTG Type 96 and i've watched many reviews that say the gun is the worst. Then I looked at the Mauser and watched a couple reviews that said the mauser is a great gun if you dont have the money to buy an exspensive gun.Im set to a budget of $200.I just wanted to ask experienced players if they have any suggestions of maybe what else to buy or maybe something to add on to the weapon to make it better. The weapon costs $175 coming with a cheap bipod and a 3-9X40 scope.I dont want to lean on you for information but I just wanted to ask your opinion of the weapon.Im buying it off of Airsoftstation.com im gonna put a link to it if you want to check it out thanks. :) http://www.airsoftstation.com/cybergun-mauser-pro-tactical-airsoft-sniper-rifle.html

Hi there sniperace and welcome to the forum. =)

Please read our forum rules carefully and refer to them while posting on this fine forum. I removed your double post and added it to your previous post. Double-posting is a rule violation that earns the poster an warning. But since you are new here and as a first timer I let you go with a friendly reminder about checking our rules. =)

None of the clones are great but I hear that TSD has good QC. You're going to have to get your hands greasy with cleaning and readjusting the internals in any case, so I would personally just get the cheapest platform you can find and do some work on your own.

You'll want to spend whatever you have left after the rifle and scope (bipod is optional) on a trip to ace hardware. Here's a small list for you: Silicone spray, krylon camo paint (tan, olive drab, and brown), teflon tape, car polish, brasso, and a roll of electrical tape.

Use the camo paint to break up your rifle's outline (just do a mottled scheme if you want, it doesn't have to be fancy).

Next, follow this guide to cleaning/brasso'ing/polishing your barrel. It'll improve your grouping on the stock barrel immensely: http://airsoftsniper.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=repairs&action=display&thread=849&page=1

Then, teflon up the cylinder head and barrel/bucking joint. The stock barrel/hop up unit is a bitch to disassemble, if you can't manage it just teflon the area between the end of the hop up unit and the barrel.

Finally, replace or add on to the stock spacers by wrapping electrical tape around your inner barrel so that it fits snug with the inside of the outer barrel. Do this at perhaps 4 spots along the barrel, and if you have trouble fitting the inner barrel assembly back in afterward, spray it with silicone and try again.

Cheap, easy mods to improve your effectiveness on the field as much as 2x over. If you need help send me a PM

Zulu's right, these upgrades are pretty cheap, but they go a long way. Good luck man!
You have already been warned by hidden not to necro post in another thread.

A necro post is when you post in a thread that is outdated, and there is no need to post there anymore. Unless you have something super important to add to a thread, do not post. If anything PM me, and ask if it is ok to post in an outdated/old thread. If its important enough, feel free to add to it, but this is very rare.

Not going to give you a warning as I am pretty sure you are/were unaware of what a necro post was. Just be sure to follow the rules in the future.
