Hi everyone I've just decided to mod my VSR and after reading a lot of posts here I have found the Cylinder Barrel Ratio one. My country limit is 330 Fps (1J here in Italy), I feel like I can use BBs as light as 0.32g to 0.43g BBs for my rifle in order for me to stay under the limit and not to change my barrel since I don't want to buy another one. So I want to buy a 500 FPS cylinder and spring kit (for 0.2g BBs) and use it with a stock barrel, if compression doesn't correspond I would waste my money with a new barrel or a new kit so, for those who have experience, what FPS cylinder kit should I buy to match the right ratio for a stock barrel?

Fps doesn't really change the cylinder:barrel ratio. What it does change is the optimal bb weight. I'd go with around .3 bb's when shooting 1 J, for this you need a ratio of around 2.3:1 which corresponds with a barrel length of around 550 mm with a VSR cylinder

If you go heavier you can use a shorter barrel but you won't be able to go much heavier than .3 without shooting above 330 fps

Unless you joule creep, of course :hehe:
