I have an AGM/JG Type96 sniper and it needs upgrades. I have $0. What are some things I can do to upgrade accuracy/range, etc. without spending money (or cheap things I can do once I get some)
(Sorry if there's already a section for this, I'm a noob here. If there is, point me to it and I'll delete the post)

$10 maybe $20. I'm struggling to find a job so I only get money by helping out around the house :/
I remember in old springer guns we would stretch the spring out to improve firepower, but idk if that's a good idea with snipers

Here's what I found for just above your tight budget, but in the future I would recommend expanding your budget if you really want good performance out of your gun.
Evike.com Airsoft Guns - Sniper Rifle Parts | Evike.com Airsoft Guns - APS-2 / Type 96 | Evike.com Airsoft Guns - Airsoft Sniper Rifle Upgrade Kit for APS / Type96 / Shadow Op / MB01 MB05 / Snowwolf M99 / M24 & Comp. Sniper Rifles |
Good luck!
P.S. if you ever stretch the spring in your sniper, you should be kicked off the forum lol. Airsoft snipers aren't just cheap springers that can be easily replaced and broken.

Haha ok. Once I get a job or some sort of income I'll start upgrading more. (However I have two AEGs that need slight upgrades and equipment as well). As for the spring, I figured as much. Just wanted to make sure.

I'm glad you asked before experimenting with your spring! If you did end up ruining the spring, it wouldn't be that bad. There are more expensive things to ruin. It just wouldn't be a good idea.

I would recommend the well know DIY's. These include: Teflon tape, wax/paper barrel spacer, barrel polishing, wash your bb's, etc. Try searching this forum as there is a surplus of information.

Teflon tape the cylinder head and the screw that holds the bolt in. Masking tape barrel spacers are a nice little add on as well. Make sure to degrease the factory grease (WAY overdone) and add some silicone lube to regrease everything smoothly. That's just some super simple stuff, and super cheap as well. Good luck!
