I'm looking at getting a spring that'll shoot under 450 fps for my type 96.

Obviously I don't want it shooting much lower than, say, 425 fps because I need to be able to use at least .3's with it without any problems.

Anyway, I can't find a laylax sp130 on any sites so I'll probably just go with a systema or guarder M130. Does anyone foresee any problems installing one of these (I have both a 7 and 9mm spring guide, so that's good to go) in a bolty (L96)?

Also, I can't have it shooting hotter than 450 fps because then I'd have to roll with a spotter and larger engagement distance. The main reason I'm doing this is to be able to run solo at public events and to have a shorter engagement distance (obviously I don't need to be below 400 fps for the 10 ft engagement...
).

I'm running a 6.03 prommy and it seems like a sp130 shoots 430 fps with a stock barrel (~6.08). Do you think this will stay below the limit or should I just go for an M120? I'm a bit short on cash or I'd just buy both and have an extra to tinker with.

Thanks :) Haven't had a question for a while, but saving money is always an incentive to get some opinions ;)

Ah. Would you suggest I got a 120 and space it if need be, or get a 130 and clip it (I know the hazards here, I'd only clip 1 coil at a time)

I'm inclined to get the 130.

Would there be any problems installing an AEG spring in a L96 cylinder? Such as cylinder length being too long for the spring?

Otherwise I think I'm good to go, I've got one offered for $10 shipped.

It arrived today, I'd guess it's shooting high 300s, I'll get spacers at ace tomorrow and bring them to the game saturday...I'll figure out what chronoes at around 445. The nice thing about knowing your rifle is it doesn't take long to zero it after an upgrade (switched to .3s and a new spring and it took me 10 minutes to zero @ 150ft) :)

Thanks for the help.
