Here is my review on the ECHO 1 ASR.
This is ABOUT the gun, and how to DISASSEMBLY it, and UPGRADE it.
Pictures up in a bit.
Let's start out with the box it comes in. It's a NICE box for such a cheap gun.
It was nicely packaged, and well shipped, came from Airsoftgi.com
What it COMES with. It comes with 3 Mags, a piece of crap bipod, and the gun! (No Scope.)
It's full plastic, but, as of right now, 10 months after getting it, it works like a charm still. I've lost some screws, but found replacements or fixed with E Tape.
The bolt: This is the scary part. It's TINY. But, it forces you to tighten up when you use it, causing you to become smaller.
The gun with the bipod looks great, but, you are going to want a new bipod, the bipod is bad D:.
Now, to take it part, it's easy!
Two screws on the bottom below the mag well, and one where the bipod goes, then pull the upper part of the rifle up, slide the magazine well off. Then, you slide the pistol grip area off, and you have 3 pieces. Theres a small screw where the hop-up unit is, screw that out, then use a small screw driver (Flathead) and put it where the cylinder head meets the hop-up give it a little nudge, and pull the whole barrel/hop-up right on out.
To get the bolt out, just take off the trigger, pull the black piece (Sear piece) out of the gun, and the bolt will slide right out.
Alright, time to talk about the gun itself.
The thing comes out of the box shooting a solid 450 FPS (Supposely 480).
It'll take most MK96/APS-2 parts, PDI hop-up, most tightbores, now the ECHO 1 ASR upgrade kit is something to be weary of, I'd avoid it at all costs.
Specs:
LBS: 7 LBS
Barrel Length: 455mm (AK size)
FPS:480
Upgradable:Yes!
Pros:
Cheap
Good out of the box FPS
Upgradable
Light
Cons:
Lots of work!!!
Now, to my gun. My gun is currently nearly completely upgraded.
It's given me hell, and that is the word. Sorry mods, had to be used.
I've basically replaced everything in this gun, and spent like 100 dollars in fix-it parts. It's hard to get to a point where it shoots perfect. If you are buying this gun, I suggest you are really going to stick with it. Don't buy as a flip gun, as you'll have a hard to working with it.
Weight: 8 lbs (New stock)
FPS:400 FPS w/ a .43
Accurate Distance:~220
Fartherest Shot Achieved:~400(?)
Parts used:
ECHO 1 Upgrade Kit (Hate it)
EDGI 6.01mm Tightbore
Systema Bucking
PDI Hop-up
Laylax Cylinder Head
E Tape xD
9/10 for a rating.
