Same thing happened to one of my bipods. I removed the sling stud from the rifle, hacksawed the bolt from the bipod, got a new longer bolt and screwed the bipod directly to the gun. I had to use spacers to get it right and the bipod no longer has tilt adjustment, but it works perfectly for shooting off flat surfaces.
