Hello,
I have Echo1 M28 spring rifle and it just started to mis-feed. After replacing stock cylinder with Angel Customs cylinder and cylinder head (got on evike.com) it started feeding whole magazine into cylinder chamber. I've googled for the problem and majority of forum posts were indicating that as magazine issue. I have tried fixing mags, but it was all in vane.
Since that didn't work I had one thing on my mind - BB stopper (plastic U peace) and it's spring. I've replaced spring with better one, but issue still remained the same.
After spending some tome staring at disassembled rifle it came to my mind that BB stopper itself could be damaged. I was right. Thing is that Anger Customs cylinder head has slightly sharp edges and after cocking rifle several times it wears down the BB stopper.
BB stocker got grinded down with roughly 15-20degree angle towards cylinder. So when the BB gets into hop-up it is getting squeezed towards cylinder. You can check that easily by putting plastic U peace on cylinder head to see the deviation from 90 degree angle (as shown on image bellow):
This however can be solved by grinding down inside part of BB stopper to fix the angle (if it's not worn out completely). I did so and here's what I've got:
Second solution is to drill a small hole right in the middle of BB stopper so it would catch BB and make it sit tight. But if mag spring is too strong it will still shoot rest of BBs towards cylinder of hop-up (random direction):
This helped me for one game, but issue reoccurred again since BB stopped got completely worm out.
Since PDI hop-up is out of stock on every airsoft shop I've checked, I've nothing left but to make this new U peace myself. I have 2 options on a table - 3D print a part or cut it out from wood.
I'll upload pictures here once I will have both options finished.
Hope this guide will help somebody who has same problem and is struggling to find and answer.
I am open to any suggestions regarding this issue.
P.S.
I've decided to grind down Cylinder head edges for a bit to make it smoother.
