EdGi vsr10, necessary DIY mods?
Good morning,
Noob here.
I just recently played my first game with my G&P m4a1, and while it's a great gun I think the role of a sniper would suit me better. Airsoft games here are a little "slower" than I was expecting (camping). But it's still fun. Realistic I guess.
My sniper rifle is a stock tm vsr10. Also a great gun, but it's VERY crippled by its sub 300 fps. My M4 is shooting 430 fps out of the box (what, rly?) with 0.2s and 390 fps with .25s. It both outranges and outhops my vsr 10. By alot.
Therefore I haven't even bothered using my vsr yet.
However I have still decided to upgrade it.
I'm not after the PDI vs Laylax vs EdGi discussion but opinions are welcome.
After doing a bit of research I personally believe the full EdGi kit is the best solution for power/accuracy/durability? Easy install and compatability is also a great plus for me. Although at 400 usd it is a little on the expensive side.
I've been around the forum and I did alot of reading but I need closure on some questions:
TL;DR:
-My hop up knowledge is low. Am I an idiot for upgrading everything but the hop up unit/chamber first?
-If I buy the full EdGi kit, which hop up mods do I "need" to be satisfied after watching way too many scope cam videos on youtube?
-Is an aftermarket bucking like the nineball an acceptable plug and play solution? Will it lift .43s?
-Will the trigger pull be "too" heavy without the zero trigger?
-Which parts do I need for an R-hop? I don't really want a visible TDC mod.
-Do I need an IR-hop? I will probably play mostly in 0-20 degrees celcius.
-Should I order a bridged barrel if I plan on R-hopping?
-At what range can I expect to be effective with this kit? Outranging AEGs seems very difficult.
-Pumping enough money into my rifle will definitely make me a great sniper, right?:lmao:
