About half a year ago i decided to build my own JG bar-10 Gspec with the Wolverine Bolt+Wraith after getting advice here on the forum. Since i'm using Co2 cartridges i'm looking for more efficiency. Currently im running the following setup:

JG Bar-10 Gspec
AA hopup unit
TDC mod
Crazy Jet maple leaf 430mm 6.04
Skeee's concave nub
Maple Leaf Autobot 60
Wolverine Bolt
Wolverine Wraith
Wolverine Airsaver

I can get around 45 shots with 1 cartridge at 170PSI which gives me 470 fps with .20's.

I would like to get more uses out of 1 cartridge and i was thinking a barrel upgrade would improve this, since the maple leaf crazy yet barrels are 6.04. I'm runnining the 430mm barrel halfway trough my supressor and was thinking, if i run a 500mm 6.01, i would lose the supressor function but i might be able to go lower PSI with the same FPS, which would result in a silencer gun anyway whilst also increasing efficiency.

I would like some advice, i have the budget for an EDGI barrel.

Also, i've seen 5.98mm edgi barrels, i'm using high quality bb's only. Is this an option or to much pain in the @ss?

Have you tested the fps with the bb's you are using in game? Because fat chance you are joule creeping like mad if you use anything like .4g/.45g with that thing.

No need for a different barrel, just lower the psi and chrono with the bb's you use in game.

I have with an Edgi 507mm 6.01 SS bullbarrel , Maple Leaf 75, 4.15 joules with 0.45gr bbs , hopup set to shoot straight. Gun is set to 570fps with 0.20gr bbs, NO HOP , pressure is 190PSI.

You should not play like that, info is to see the difference.

I can say that for that speed and energy 0.45bbs are to light, same setup and 0.50gr bbs energy goes upto 4.8joules. Keeping that in mind you can reduce your fps and energy to achieve a flat trajectory flight and still be accurate.

Wraith and CO2 is not recommended for high velocity setups, reason I use a nitrogen filled tank.

Many times when you shoot at high speeds you don`t gain very much and the system is very affected to bb quality, any imperfection on bbs are amplified as the speed goes higher. Find your sweet spot with the bbs you are using, where the bbs is flying straight and you have the higher hit ratio, that will be your end fps and pressure.

Test it with a 0.4 or .45 whatever you play with, a .4 should come in at 245fps and a .45 should be 233fps.
With a .2 it barely breaks 350fps.
that is running a little over 100psi, how have you got your air saver set up? at the psi you need it is really all that necessary.

I think that's your problem... My Bolt (440mm barrel) gets the same FPS with 0.20s with a much lower PSI (like 110-120 PSI). Any chance the seals aren't working properly in the hop up unit or cylinder?

how have you got your air saver set up? at the psi you need it is really all that necessary.

Yeah i got the airsaver installed.

And about the Joule creep, there is some. i could probably lower my fps to 450 with .20's but i still need 160 psi for that. I'm looking for ways to improve my effeciency. Airseal is good, no air escaping when i hold my finger on the barrel.

Yeah, thats the problem. I could lower the PSI a bit and still get enough FPS probably but the PSI difference in our setups is HUGE. I would love to run it at 120 PSI.

What barrel are you using? and are you using the Wraith CO2 or HPA?

If a 6.01 bore would give such an effeciency boost compared to my 6.04 barrel i'm def getting a edgi 6.01

Lonex 6.03 barrel. Standard HPA, which is different than your setup.

wut? that's not what he's saying.. at all. Pretty much the opposite.

The barrel is not to blame here, it's probably anything else.

What do you mean? i have no air leaks or anything so the only difference in our setup are the ones i noted above, yet he has a much better efficiency. So it must be that right?

How did you confirm that?

Multiple people in this thread have provided anecdotal evidence that your gun isn't shooting the right FPS for that PSI. Are you sure a leak is possible?

I can hold my finger on the barrel for 5 seconds without any air escaping. When i remove my finger from the barrel it still shoots.

I just don't know what else then the barrel can be the problem

Sadly i don't have the range to test that.

The Edgi is installed and it seems like my fps went up by quite a bit. Tested it at 150PSI and got 480fps with .20's and 365fps with .45's. I can probably turn down my PSI to 130 now and still achieve good FPS.
