So my EV01 stock piston wore itself out. I was sitting there looking at the gun fully disassembled and decided I didn't like the body design anymore. So I'm going to be doing something absolutely insane. Here's my thoughts.

I've ordered a new piston, I ordered the AA hop up and TDC wheel. My favorite thing about this gun is its downfall. Which is the cylinder. It's a short pull and feeds directly from the mag.

So here's what I decided with the body. I'm going to take a CYMA Cm.707 (Remington 700 modern) and I'm going to chop the back half of it off and put it on my striker. Then I'm going to cut the stock outer barrel (replacing the inner barrel to 300mm 6.01), add a piece of carbon fiber tube 400mm×45-50mm over the outer barrel and make an integral suppressor. In theory I'll have a fully built DVL10 Sabotuer. Or very close to it.

Am I crazy or on the right track here lol

Starting point. Chopped the front off the receiver. Chopped my original outer barrel and got my integral suppressor sized up. Going to mount the suppressor to the outer barrel today and foam fill it.

Got a 1.5" i.d. ABS plastic tube from Home Depot and cut to 500mm. I will be getting a metal push cap and using that for the suppressor end cap after drilling holes and making it quiet. Also once I get everything level I'll be using epoxy resin in the outer barrel to join the outer barrel and suppressor together so they unscrew off as one piece.

If you can, or in the future, check out Online Metals for a metal tube maybe, they're pretty cheap in that size and will work better.
Carbon fiber is another option from eBay, about the same price but a little lighter.

Plastic and carbon fiber have poor sound dampening qualities, and the ABS pipe is likely heavier than a thinner wall metal pipe or a piece of carbon fiber, so it's likely not the best option.
One thing you should do with any suppressor or outer barrel on this is paint it with some sort of rubber paint, as my best suppressor had a rubber paint over a thin walled aluminum tube.

Otherwise, good work so far.

I went with the ABS plastic tube for ease of build. It is a 1.5" inner diameter tube so I have roughly 20mm of difference from the actual outer barrel to the "integral suppressor barrel. Along with having 200mm of tube past the actual outer barrel so mathematically I have 171,327.41 mm^3 of volume to fill with foam. I may rubber line the inner of the tube aswell

Crazy build update for those keeping along here. So I got everything lined up, cut, sanded and put together with a single m5×.8×75mm screw that I had to grind down just a little bit. I'm going to fiberglass the 2 chassis together. The original plan of crafting clay and plastic weld didn't hold up. But I did fire it today. Running nicely on .4g bbs with the 303mm 6.03 barrel. Got my omega tensioner installed but haven't tested anything yet other than fps/joules 3 or 4 shots. It is super quiet with the 200mm of 1.5" pipe overlaying the barrel
