I will wait and see how much store credit I receive ... I'm looking at the shadow ops (UTG?) because all this shipping is killing my funding. I'm just looking for a building platform for now...

I order all my stuff from evike if possible. They have good prices, I use the 18% off coupon code every time! Most of the time it covered the super saver shipping. Stuff gets to Alaska in about a week which is fast for cheap shipping! I guess that's due to them being in CA. I've never had an issues with them.

I would say a week is about average for in Michigan too. At least from Airsoftgi. They are both in Cali.

I am just going to get from Evike. I dont want to get the pistons I saw at Airsoft Atlanta cause they cater to mostly bore up pistons and I dont wanna get all the stuff in a bore up. I still wanna order a new piston sear just cause I feel a new piston and sear are a good idea. then I can just start fresh with this rifle. Unfortunately Evike hasnt got any in stock

I am either getting this..
http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=648_655&products_id=35655

this
http://www.evike.com/product_info.php?cPath=648_655&products_id=32804 for the low cost, and its a solid piston similar to the PDI hard piston I cant find in stock anyplace.

or this from Airsoft Extreme

http://www.airsoftextreme.com/store/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=443_460&products_id=3058

I must say the red pistons look pretty sweet, I think I want to later on get a teflon cylinder cause they are black.. Yes that is the only reason I want it. These mirror like cylinders kinda suck at concealment,lol..

Holy smokes! That's quite an unfortunate case. If I was in your position, I would have quite a negative opinion of them.

Personally, I've had no major issues besides learning later that stores like airsoftgi and airsoftextreme had the same items, but for a lot cheaper!

I used to frequent the walk-in store and customer service was sub-par. I intentionally avoided the employees with bad attitudes or little knowledge regarding airsoft .

Aside from the bad service at times, their refund/return/technical know-how is impressive. It's quite a shame to hear about the franken-guns and lack of keeping contact with consumers!

Yeah no doubt! Thats terrible to be left without any reason for that long! I would freak,lol.. I already have a hard time holding my toungue,hahahah.. Imagine what I would end up saying on the phone by the end of the 2nd week! I cant imagine 3 months.. I think I narrowed down my store and item I want. Yes I know I dont need the 500fps spring,I dont care. It will just go in a box with the other two I have. I dont need the metal spring guide but the piston is the least expensive on Airsoft Atlanta.

http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/WELL_Spring_Rifle_Upgrade_Kit_for_MB03_MB07_p/12204.htm?CartID=1

Its the most basic of pistons and as of right now its all I can do. Shipping is low cost at $5 and some change. 2 days shipping time which is great! I can get back to working on my custom Bar10 again. Being stuck at a stand still is making me go stir crazy.

I have stock sears right now. There isnt much wear on the piston sear for the most part but I would just feel better having new sear with a new piston therefore I can keep an eye on the wear and start fresh.

http://www.airsoftatlanta.com/SHS_Steel_VSR_10_1st_Sear_p/32559.htm?CartID=2

At $10 its a steal.. pun intended,lol.. I know absolutely nothing about SHS but I see that its steel and not crappy pot metal cast aluminum so its better no matter what.

I know if I was to spend a few dollars more I could get a nicer piston but I am afraid to try out Evike. Wont give Gi another chance and Atlanta is way way closer to me. I only need to get this baby going again and in a few months when finances get correct, I will use that money to build this sunuva gun up! Yes, pun was intended that time too

Really? Because I have a massive shopping cart for that site filled with bolt action upgrades.
I think he might have meant that the store doesn't carry the BASR parts that he needs :shot:.

Although in general, the store has a limited selection compared to places like Airsoftatlanta.

The best is walk in store situation but unfortunately for me here in Greece there are not many options regarding sniper rifle there are not many available.
In general I buy more from Asian shops as their prices/ services are the best and the shipping times are the same.
Another plus for Asian shops is EMS! They've never screwed any of my orders, unlike USPS!

At Airsoft Megastore?? I dont think so,hahaha.. I only saw a bolt assembly for a Kar98 and that was the only bolt action anything part on the whole site. Unless they have parts in another section instead of the internal parts section. I also looked in accessories too. Please, if you have such a massive cart full of stuff from Megastore, please post some links cause after two days of looking at every page on that site I am yet to find anything even close to a bolt action part.

Since I live in southern CA, I order from Evike quite often since it's close and they have a great selection. Over the many orders I've made with them of multiple guns, countless parts, gear and bbs, never have I had a single problem. No wrong orders, nothing broken or used, no delayed shipping. With my experience, they were also very good with order updates(multiple times), especially when something was back ordered or out of stock.

I've also had good experience with their warranty policy. I once purchased a "matrix" green laser from them and in the box came a 1-year warranty certificate. After about 9 months of having the laser, the pressure switch broke(not the actual unit), so I boxed up the laser and pressure switch and sent it back to them. Within just a week and a half, I had a brand new laser unit and pressure switch sent back to me.

The only thing I would say is "bad" in comparison to some other retailers is that sometimes they take up to 3 days to get your order out, but this has only happened twice to me and it was during the holiday season. Other than that, orders usually get out in a day or two.

Here in NJ, there is no walk in store other than a store called "Godfather Airsoft" which I have seen reviews of and it seems they are inexperienced. So inexperienced in fact they sell bbs they sweeped up from the CQB arena they have. Suffice to say I haven't been there yet.

I personally feel there is no airsoft retailer in any part of the world who knows half as much as most of the people on here do about airsoft. They may know about upgrades for guns, but not why one piston is better than another.

Anywho... Most people have good experiences with evike. I now this because you don't hear from the ones with good experiences, only the ones with bad, and there aren't really THAT many people with truly bad experiences with them.

I've honestly never had any problems with evike other then ordering something which was later placed out of stock. I had a chat with the evike customer service and I got a free 15% bump on the products price to buy the next tier up.

Yeah their descriptions are off sometimes but I do my own research before buying any airsoft guns. I could care less really what the stuff says as long as I get what I ordered or get informed within a timely fashion that something is out of stock.

Oh I also got a motor which was 180 degrees out of time from them but that isn't really their fault it's the manufacturers quality department or lack there of.

I've ordered from Evike four times in the last 3 years. The experience has been OK so far everytime, except for one long delayed package- but they did notify me of the delay (manufacturer apparently failed to ship on time, thereby delaying the arrival of a preorder). Their customer service has been, to me, avergae. Not terrible or great.

Airsoft GI, I've ordered often, GREAT customer service, but they take their sweet time mailing things, I assume because of the sheer size and volume of their operation. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff, though. Politeness goes a LONG way with me.

Airsoft Atlanta to me, is top notch. I get everything I order literally the next day. The first time I ordered, they sent me the wrong item (it was a combat shirt in woodland instead of digi woodland). When I received it and called, the simply asked me for the order number, told me sorry for the mix-up and not to worry and keep it. They then sent me the correct one, which arrived the next day- so I did not miss a game for which I needed this particular pattern. UNBELIEVABLE.

So, just my experience with those three as datapoints . Airsoft Megastore I ordered once, and they were pretty good, too- but I have only had the one experience.

Airsoft Titan is the "Worst"

My first gun was from Evike (they set me the wrong sling.) Three emails later w/photos, customer "Service" let me know If I paid to send it back they would check it out, but would to charge me for it anyway because I opened the packaging.) I would like to say I had the morals to not shop there again, but I have gotten small things from time to time, since.

Airsoft Titan is the worst in my opinion. They advertise having items "in-stock" but after a 10 days of waiting, if you chat customers support about the status, they just cancel the order. Yet, the stock status on the webpage will remain "available."

Airsplat is great service, but really doesn't have much of a variety of manufactuers or replacement parts.
