Hello everyone,

I had yesterday my first round with 4 new magazine's of Action Army, I had bought them because it gives a easy way to see how much rounds are left in the mag and wanted some extra mags.

The match itself started pretty great, I filled the mags untill just a little around the bend as to break in the spring before I would fully load them up to the 40 rounds. I shot through 4 mags pretty quickly without any issue, but then when I went to fill them up again to little bit around the bend. Suddenly when I was ingame 3 out of my 4 mags stopped working.

The problem with the 3 mags is presumebly that a bb gets stuck somewhere in the magazine itself. Because if I want to empty the mag with that button on top it does not spurt out any, only when I keep it upside down about 5 to 10 bb's fall out and the rest are stuck. If I give a little smack on the magazine the spring suddenly pushes the bb's to top again and same problem repeats.

I use 0.45g Geoffs if that is of any handy info

thanks in advance, Robin

Sounds like the follower is just jamming. It's a problem that sometimes occurs with double stacked magazines. You could take it apart and check the follower for any imperfections. Also check the groove through which the bb's go for any imperfections that could cause jamming.

Also make sure your mags are kept clean, dirt will cause such an issue. Also keep oil and lubricants far away from it, as you don't want anything on your bb's!

If 3 of them aren't working it sounds like a weird issue. The mags for my vsr have been a bit bad with the spurt out catching as I insert it but never had this issue. Best bet is to speak to AA
Mhm, will send a mail out just to be sure

Will try tomorrow to take them apart, just used my last ethanol to cleanup my barrel and rubber, will do it in one go

Thanks both for the tips

Update: Took them apart, cleaned them with ethanol, checked for rough edges (found none), put them back together and still they get stuck. And all the 4 mags look alike even the one who does not jam looks like the 3 others which jam.

Update:

Just had contact with Action Army today, seems like I was the first to contact them with the problem. They suggested to sandpaper (a fine grit) the channels to make it a bit more polished and then use a tiny itsy bit of silicone oil to clean up the debris, then wipe that silicone oil again away and put it all together and load it up a few times.

And gotta say, they work perfectly now again. And the gun is still shooting accurate over longer range (about 90m effective measured with the range finder). And it worked with all of the mags that jammed.

Tighten the stock to receiver screws if they are not already done.
