Hello, I've been meaning to register on your site for quite a while. Seems to be a wealth of information on BASRs here and a great community.
Anyway, on to the introduction:
I'm 22 years old, from Maine. Callsign is Redrover (Red works just fine
). I've been playing airsoft for over 7 years, 3 of those years with Spartan Assault. I'm currently a member of leadership on the team, commander of one of the longest running squad on the team (Roughnecks) and the team airsmith. I've been working on AEGs for 2 years now, but only really got into BASRs a year ago. I purchased a slam-firing BAR-10 (that someone had put a lot of time into painting) for $90, bought a set of ASGI sears, Firefly Soft bucking and a PDI 6.04 and started tinkering.
Mtrigger, Laylax Orange Piston, Nineball spring guide, custom concave cylinder head, some type of 510+ FPS spring, Firefly Soft bucking, Dangerwerx Type B and dozens of hours later...I've got a rifle that I'm quite happy with. In the meantime Ive built and sold many different BAR-10 rigs (including a TK Twist setup that I loved but couldn't justify holding onto) and have acquired a few different gas rifles to tinker with. My most recent acquisition is an Evike Boneyard G&G G96 (L96...duh) which I picked up for $140.
Well, thats about it for now. I'm very excited to be a part of this forum finally...oh, and I suppose I should mention, Mgunner is one of my good friends up here. We run together quite often and he's actually been my go-to guy for BAR-10 answers a lot of the time.
