I bought the King Arms COLT M16A4. It comes with a 7mm gearbox, which I've heard is great.

I have a few questions. I want the gun to be a DMR, so It's all about accuracy, consistency, compression, and power. Speed is irrelevant.

I plan to use either a Prommy 590mm or 550mm 6.03. is the bore up necessary?

Is there anything else that I need to upgrade, or do you suggest any other parts? I'm not on a budget, I'd like the best performance.

Go with 455 and non-boreup. I had troubles getting good enough seal for a dmr in my kit.

Supershooter phead, shs cylinder, sorboed shs chead, and shs air nozzle is the way to go. Make sure to also round out the cylinder window. And fix air seal.

Those gears are crap. Go with siegetek 20:1

The spring guide and piston are overpriced and bad. Go with shs, and shs 15 tooth blue. Make sure to get aoe perfect.

14 awg wire from home depot, and a mystikal fet for the rewire. Plus an 11.1 30c lipo (turnigy) with deans.

Shs shims, arl, cutoff, and spring are also all better. A common mistake is that systema makes the best parts. Their only good thing is their buckings!

G&p motors are no good either. Terminusx, and terminus bushings and pinion too.

Thanks for the replies, I'm really looking into all of this now, I've found a bunch of Gear ratios.
Which is the best for my setup?

http://clandestineairsoft.com/index.php?main_page=index&cPath=1_6_30_31
-40.91:1 Torque Plus
-27.5:1 Torque
-20.15:1 Balanced Dual sector
-20.8:1 Balanced
-14.09:1 Revolution
-10.44:1 Revolution

Okay, so Omega Motor. D or O pinion gear?

SHS Type 0 Grooved, or Smooth? They have different bores.

500mm Prommy 6.03 with R-hop

Which sorbo thickness?

Is the king arms 7mm shell with terminus bushings good enough or should it be replaced?

SHS m150

Also, what's better the nylon 15 tooth piston or the Polycarb 15 tooth piston?
With an 11.1 and an shs torque, you can use the 20:1 or even 14:1. On jg blue im pulling m190 on 20:1s.

Omega motor comes with a great pinion.

Grooved cylinder type 0

That gb with terminus bushings is good, just radius window.

3/16 sorbo with a 1/2 L flat faucet rubber washer from home depot (to protect the soft sorbo) is what i use. Just superglue it straight on.

If its a dmr, youre using semi only. I recommend the lower gear rate for better trigger response. While the 48:1s might put little stress on your motor, there may be lag from trigger pull to shot fire. And with an omega on 11.1, you COULD pull a 150 on 10.1, although expect the motor to get very hot because of the amp draw...... lol

I second the 14:1s, especially for omega on 11.1

The mnub is a good idea if you dont have the tools to make your own.

Honestly, most aeg cylinders are the same when polished, only differing mostly with the porting (and sometimes boreup). Any chrome plated (or even brass if you polish it) cylinder will work. If you pay more than $10 for one youre wasting money.

Any "full" cylinder or "ak47" cylinder will work.

Shs buckings (hard) work great with the rhop, and they are cheap. Pick up a couple in case you mess one up with the superglue.
