Well, I'm back now and I might be an even bigger bitch(or evil dictator as MiqaFox makes me out to be) than before!
The thing about arguing is that you have to have some form of reasoning behind the position you take. In yours there is none. Perfecting "The Grip" can be helpful in some aspects of using a BASR, but it does not get you a perfectly straight bolt pull EVER, unless you are not using a spring in your cylinder. If it were effortless, we could simply grip the sides of the bolt,cylinder and pull. If you have a proper spring in your rifle, cocking it will not be effortless, so we must have some sort of handle or else our fingers would slip right off. Are you keeping up with this?
Having a handle on ONE side of the cylinder to grip gives you, can you guess??? NON-LINEAR FORCE when pulling. Having your goddam thumb on the other side does fuck all of nothing. No matter what you do(practice, being a perfect human, talking to Jesus), almost 100% of the pulling force is being put on that side handle, causing side to side and rotational movement. The bolt design is fine for real firearms, but is inherently flawed when applied our sirsoft rifles. My idea eliminates all of those flaws.
There are no holes in my argument and there is no reasoning to counter it, other than "I don't want to make my gun different/weird/efficient. I like the regular bolt". That is fine. You can be happy (and even let me be happy) by leaving it the way it is. You have no right to argue against someone else doing it or claiming that they are doing something wrong, especially when there is a decade of experience in airsoft BASRs involved.
I don't make myself out to be a god for inventing something helpful. It's not even on the site anymore, most likely because it is too much for you tacticool opr8rs. I wish I had a writeup of something slightly different from a current concept, but actually 75% cloned and only applicable to a small group of people to put in my sig.
