Arnies shut their registration to the forums some odd number of years ago (either 1 - 2). I have been trying to register on it using every handle and email address I have, since about '04 or '03. No luck, then I figured it out after emailing the admin that registrating is closed. I don't remember the reason he gave as to why.

Also, I thought I saw that the L96 shot 400fps with .20s, as to why I wanted to know it's upgradability. If it did use VSR-10 parts, then that would help Sniper out, as he could swap parts in and out of either or.

Check the second picture Jumprefusal posted. The box states 430-450 fps, but I believe that that's with .25s. Airsoft-Gunner, the guy selling them, said on Arnies that the gun shoots just over 500 fps with .2s. I don't think you'd need to upgrade the bolt or spring, except maybe for durability. I would want to look into a higher quality barrel though (maybe one of those 6.01mms to boost it up to 550 fps). Airsoft-Gunner said that the hop up assembly is compatible with TM inner barrels.

Doesn't seem to be pretty bad for $100. It may take a load off of Maruzen's Sales.

How is the quality of the stock and scope? Is there a cap for the outer barrel? How's the hop-up unit? What type of magazines does it use. Would it be reasonable to buy it and then upgrade all of the internals with PDI parts or would buying a gspec and upgrading that be more sensable? For $100 that seems like a great deal, so good it might mean crap products?

I'm guessing it's a 100% knock off of the Maruzen. The body will probably be light, with some crappy seams. But if It could take L96 internals, then 100 bucks is worth just the shell, body, and barrel. The scope is most likely complete crap, but that can be fixed with 20 dollars and a trip to Wal-mart.

No cocked indicator, no empty indicator I can see though. Ah well.

Despite it's 520fps power - the bolt is almost rediculously easy to pull. Silly Magic Chinese springs, not obeying physics.

If it DOES take VSR-10 parts, I am most likely going to get it.

I wonder how long the barrel is....

i dont think it will be taking VSR-10 part i dont know where you got that from, but its a clone os the Type 96 so if anything it you can upgrade it. It would be from that set-up.

After making an account at Arnies(took 1minute) and reading the 13 page thread, I think internally it takes the same parts as the L96. Not 100% sure yet.

Oh, no, I already have a TM Hi-capa 5.1. Thing is I lost my rear windage screw and totally lost my front site, lol. Don't ask me how, but now I'm just gonna get after market combat sites.
