But what about the different time zones in America? For instance I live on the Eastern Shore of America and there is 3 hours between me and somebody in, say California. Where would the time be set?
Forum main time
Hey guys,
this is rather simple really. We are a global family and for instance I'm from Finland, faaar faar away from say the States and vice versa. Now we all know it is easy to google "what is the time in here and there", but wouldn't it also be nice if we'd have a forums very own main time running on the main menu? I myself prefer it to be, sorry for being awkwardly broad but the most common time zone amongst our American users. Thus we'd have a set time on which everybody could straightly relate to by comparing their time to this forum main time. =)
Do I make sense out of meself to anyone? =D

Uhh, I feel addition like this unnecessary, for instance, we in Finland are average of 7 hours earlier than you guys in america.
Exactly, and we have many and again many others from different nations which have different time zones. When everybody have a dozen other users they would like to keep in contact with it is hard to remember how far ahead or behind someone is. Well okay, other way to deal with this is to add a Time Zone: tab into personal info underneath Avatar and one may choose wether to fill it or not.

Yep, and if not a running clock, then a mere timezone indication, the very same you may choose from profile settings would show under your avatar. P.S. GMT means Greenwich Mean Time (just incase if someone does not know)
P.S.S. GMT etc. are not the important thing but the +/-X behind it, that tells the time difference. For instance we +2 are 9 hours ahead of -7 and 4 hours behind +6.
