So I built my vsr 10 recently and got a AA hop up unit with a ML 330mm crazy jet barrel, 2021 autobot bucking, stock cylinder, wasp vsr10 piston with the heavy weight and middle air break, with a novrisch m150 spring and only achieving 290fps and about 1.7j with a .40. My field limit is 388 fps with a .40

It has good range but I want the bb to travel faster through the air

Did you make sure to lube your piston? A dry cylinder can destroy fps. I recommend tamiya cera grease. It's the slickest stuff around.

I put oil on the cup of the piston. My cylinder airseal is fine

It's the barrel length,.it's too short, if you were using a 430mm barrel or so you would be 2j+. (I'm not the vsr ratio guy so check 1tonnes thread for best barrel length exactly)

Your using a barrel that is around 2/3 the length it should be, or to put it another way you need a barrel that is about 30% longer

Either up your spring to a higher power or get a longer barrel that matches your ideal BB weight ratio better.

How's the air seal? And with an m150 spring, heavy pistons and air breaks cut down a lot of fps. There's a point when it can up your joules, but after that it decreases everything

Okay so I should just get a longer barrel like 430mm? I want to keep my gun silent aswell

Yep. 430mm is good. And it will maintain the level of sound it is now, maybe even make it quieter. Fill the stock with foam. Not much you can do after that

Hi hows your basr going, did you manage to get more fps from it?

I highly suggest doing a TDC mod on it if you haven't already.
