Thanks for the support fellas.

Only thing with the Go Pros is I believe you don't have a zoom feature? I need to be able to rig this so that I can get up close shots in order to see bb flight path.

Yeah I am looking into that, and am thinking about going with a camcorder. Any suggestions on which one? Not looking to spend a boat load but I realize quality is of importance.

And I believe he had to drill into his camera in order to be able to use the mount with rail. Or does the camera come with the drilled hole? (I assume you saw his video on assembly of camera onto rifle?)

I've seen his vids yeah, You can pick up a decent Camera like that for $150-250. (I paid €200 for my gopro) and you don't really need a zoom much higher than your scopes zoom either.

And they all have little screw mounts on the bottom of them for tri-pods and such, you could simply make an adapter that fits it, or think of a new system, it wouldn't be that hard at all really IMO.

It looked like he took a rail riser kit and used the small circular piece that goes on the bottom of the carry handle to keep top rail in place. He seemed to just take that little piece, a standard rail and he had himself a rail system for the camera.

I think all I really need is to get the camera, figure out what kind of screw can fit inside it, and use nuts and washers to keep it together, similar to his design only with screws from say home depot or something like that.

Should not be hard at all, really all I need is the camera now.

I need something with zoom only because I need to be able to get semi close to target. Gotta be able to see the bb's, so I think the best route is a cam corder. I might link some camcorders later, hit me up if you have any ideas (that goes for anybody).

Thanks!

Thanks Newbie, that helps out a lot.

As for the viper hood, if you are willing to buy the base hood, I can do work on it or simply supply the kit for you to do one (including back drape netting, etc. if you like).

But I am also working on one on a standard BDU. Pics to come!

Also, how does this camera look? I know zip about cameras, but would like some thoughts. Thanks: http://www.ebay.com/itm/Samsung-SMX...mcorder-Black-Sealed-/370601774918#vi-content

Hey fuzzy what about a gopro and a knockoff red dot magnifier in front of it? Maybe with the flat lens attachment/case thingy for the gopro
