I've looked around, found some "ok" video reviews and a couple written ones, and come to the conclusion that the G&G G96 is a solid platform. If you think other wise, please tell me.
I wanted to get this rifle and make an HPA rig on it, to make it more consistent. As of now, I will be spending $499 on the gun, bipod, scope, rings, and BBs (.36g). On top of that, I still wanted to make the HPA rig, but I have little to no tech experience and have never had a gas sniper before, only springers. How much would the typical rig cost to make? I desperately want to get back into sniping, so thats not a question you guys need to ask.
Later on, I will get barrel and hop-up upgrades, but as of now, that's all I want to do to the gun.
Does anyone have any opinions on whether or not this would be a good choice, or anything else. I am open to anyones opinions and won't attack you if you think differently from me. And if you don't think the G96 is one of the better guns to get (in that price range) please guide me towards a different one, whether it be gas, or spring.
I just need some clarification on what I should be doing.
Also, I am confused on what exactly a HPA rig is, I know it makes your gun more consistent, but is it like a paintball gun where you have an airtank hooked up to the gun (in airsoft, the mag?)? Just want some clarification thats all.
Any other comments, questions for me, or words of wisdom are welcome.
