Upgrades do put a lot of stress on the rifle, but I've never heard of it start bending at 450. I know a guy that has a vsr and his is shooting at 640 and higher all the time and its worked perfectly with out problems, but that of course is all PDI parts and no stock parts.

nothing in mine is stock except for the stock and inner/outer barrell.

why not get a tightbore? get some more accuracy/range/power out of the deal.

gotchya, MadBull makes some inexpencive ones (dont know if they could fit the gun your looking at getting or not) they are all pretty much under 40 bucks and work very well, a guy on my team has one and has never had an issues with it from what i hear.
