I've taken one of these down and I also noticed that it is a super tight fit when you try to put the gearbox back into the lower receiver. The original motor was shrink wrapped . try putting some electrical tape to hold the wires down as you jimmy the gearbox into position. A good thing to also do is never force anything if you can help it.
G&G M14 EBR Wiring build help
I'm re-building a G&G M14 EBR and I can seem to get the gearbox with all the assembly and wires back in without pinching or shreading the wires. Specifically the earth wire. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

It's a royal pain. After several attempts with shredded wires a friend of mine put the wires on the side of the gearbox in the small "gulch" and filled it up with some sort of putty. That finally did the trick as the wires (4 after installing a mosfet) stayed put at last.
