I've taken one of these down and I also noticed that it is a super tight fit when you try to put the gearbox back into the lower receiver. The original motor was shrink wrapped . try putting some electrical tape to hold the wires down as you jimmy the gearbox into position. A good thing to also do is never force anything if you can help it.
