I've been keeping my mind open as to what type of sniper rifle i want to build. I've gone from AEGs, to bolts, to gas bolts, and back to AEGs. I really can't make up my mind on anything until I get all of the cash needed to start, and until then, my mind is going to be a cluster f*** of "superb" ideas.
I wanted to use the G&P M14 DMR as my base platform, and go from there.

Gun: G&P M14 DMR
Battery: G&P 9.6v 1600mah Ni-MH Mini
Barrel: Prometheus 6.03 500mm
Bucking: Madbull 60

I would rather have that pistol grip, but the main reason is because I like G&P internals just a tad more. That, and it comes with a scope, rail and looks all around awesome. =)

Opinions on the internals and parts I want to buy?

The G&P gears and piston blow... and that battery will have a hard time pulling that upgraded motor, their amp hogs.

Basically what he said, but the gears aren't that bad but Imo will still need changing.

I posted this in another topic:

...Most my collection now are KWA's, but I own two G&G's.
At first I wasn't a big G&G fan, but once I became more familiar with them, the more impressed I was.

I knew nothing about G&G M14's and tuned a basic, plastic stock M14 rather easily to hit a small mailbox repeatedly at 190-200ft. Then I tuned a G&G M733 "CAR 15" (custom build) and it shoots damn near like the longer, higher FPS M14. I've seen some slight quality issues with G&G plastics and metals, but they are far superior to the Classic Army's I've owned and encountered.

M14's can be quirky over all, but just shoots really well, rather easily.

My buddy has a G&P M14 DMR and it's alright. Not sure if he's upgraded the internals, because he has a few TM type M14 gearboxes and parts laying around.
The gun shoots really well on full-auto, but semi it lacks consistency. He recently bought a G&G M14.

Ok thank you explosive. I knew you would come here. Ok what I think about the G&P m14. It comes with a free scope. Yipee! That gun fires pretty dang fast if you ask me.

What everyone else has said, motor and gears. But I like their pistons. I would keep it. My buddy put a G&P Piston in his ARES TAR-21 and it was fine for a long time.

Also, I would change the bb's from ASGI to Golden Ball or KSC Perfect.
